Precise and Efficient Surveying Methodology
Arranging a project with ArchiSurveys is a straightforward process. You can simply reach out to our office via phone or email at info@archisurveys.com, providing comprehensive details of the project including location, full address with postcode, specifications, and any other pertinent information relevant to the job at hand. We commit to responding within 24 hours, furnishing you with a detailed quote. While we are able to accommodate urgent requests and can be on-site as soon as the following day, our typical lead-in times typically range from 3 to 9 days. finally the day prior to our site visit we will make a call to ensure that clients are prepared for us.
While some businesses prioritise speed, and others may strive for efficiency, Archisurveys' primary goal is to capture exceptionally accurate data. Upon arrival at the site, we meticulously follow a stringent set of processes honed over years of refining our methodology. These protocols are deeply rooted in the time-tested methods developed by our surveying predecessors over many decades. While modern surveying businesses often rely solely on the latest high-tech tools, we at Archisurveys continue to integrate the traditional techniques passed down by our forebears. We combine these age-old methods with the cutting-edge equipment available on the market, ensuring that our surveys remain unbeatably precise..
To begin our surveying process, we establish a comprehensive control system using Leica theodolites. We strategically select fixed reference points in easily accessible areas, measuring distances and angles between them for our records. This critical step, known as "getting on grid," is integral to delivering top-quality surveys to our clients. These reference points not only enable precise establishment of existing control for future work but also aid in georeferencing other datasets, monitoring, network adjustments, and quality assurance. When executed correctly, alongside regular front and backsighting, this process ensures minimal errors, providing extremely precise reference points throughout the survey—an essential foundation for any successful survey.
Once our comprehensive control system is established, we transition to surveying the site. In building surveys, our primary tool is the Leica laser scanner. Conversely, land surveys and other survey types rely more heavily on theodolite work. However, at Archisurveys, we employ multiple systems to minimise oversight errors. For instance, in building surveys, we combine laser scanners with theodolites, alongside sketching and manual hand measurements. These days, it's all too common for survey businesses to rely solely on what the laser scanner says. However, this invariably means that they have no checks for errors and is undoubtedly where the majority of errors in many building surveys sneak in.
Upon our return from the site, we initiate a meticulous process of data transformation, focusing on generating millimeter-precise 3D point clouds and topographical data. Our commitment to excellence is unwavering; therefore, we exclusively employ the foremost technologies, regardless of cost considerations. In this pursuit, we harness Leica's premium software suite, seamlessly integrated with LSS and AutoCAD. Leveraging these cutting-edge tools with a firm understanding of surveying principles ensures the attainment of pristine, unparalleled data quality, reflecting our uncompromising dedication to precision and integrity in every facet of our work.
First and foremost, unlike many untrustworthy survey companies currently operating, you will not be asked for any payment until all the work has been undertaken, and you have received your finished survey drawings. One of our team will then make a courtesy call to check that you are 100 percent happy with the service that you have received, and only then will we send you the invoice for the work. Upon receiving your invoice, you will then have 28 days to settle the payment.
The pricing of surveys can vary significantly depending on the project's scale and location. As a rough estimate, our measured building surveys typically start at around £450 for a local 2-bedroom terraced house, while a standard rear garden topographical survey may begin at £250 for local work within a 50-mile radius of Retford, Nottinghamshire. For surveys beyond this range, a small travel expense may apply, but we always ensure fairness and transparency by charging only for the actual cost. We are always delighted to provide a no-obligation free quote. Additionally, we take pleasure in offering guidance and having a friendly chat to help determine if our services align with your specific needs.
